I had a weird day at school today. Mostly riddled with stress from massive homework assignments and a bad back.
Don’t know what I did to my back. It started hurting last night, and I decided this morning after sitting on uncomfortable science stools all morning, that I wouldn’t do PE.
I was helping in a year 7 lesson first thing. Actually, when I say ‘helping’, I mean ‘watching the PGCE person teach’. But she was really good and I got to see how the other teacher marked her and saw good points and stuff. It was useful for when I’m gonna do the same.
I had Maths after that. I actually liked the teacher, unlike Emily, until he winked at me.. That was weird. I don’t really like being winked at by 30+ year old maths teachers… But I kinda like his lessons ’cause he’s really laid back and jolly.
Anyway.. I had Chemistry with my less-favourite teacher as well. She isn’t too bad.. but she talks rreeeaaalllyy slow and goes through the topics really fast.. If that makes sense.. The other teacher is nicer, makes things clearer, is in a band called Coley Park and supports Reading FC. So all round, he’s pretty decent. For a Chemistry teacher anyway.. Haha.
Then I had my PE lesson. I told Mr Bolton (dunno if I’ve mentioned him before, he’s a good one, like a mate, only more of a teacher.. well, he is a teacher.. But ya’know what I mean!) that I had a bad back and he made me put my kit on because I might have been able to do some things. Although I’d already heard we were doing gymnastics.. Riiiggght. ‘Cause you can do gymnastics with a bad back! Anyway, I watched people fail at forward rolls, like a year 7 lesson, and did a couple of handstands. I demo-ed to the class, and he held my legs (ooer :S). It was an okay lesson I suppose.
So yeah. A good day all round I think :)
