Well, after a few problems at school, my UCAS application was sent off. I sent it off from my end to my tutor two weeks ago on Monday. She then came to be the next Friday, asking me to help her write my reference. This, I thought had been done back in half term, but obviously not. I wrote a few points for her to put in and she eventually sent it the next Tuesday.
I applied to 5 Unis: Plymouth, Southampton, Hull, Essex and Swansea (in that order of preferance) for Marine Biology.
I know, I have a strange combination of interests.
Anyway, that Friday I got an offer from Essex! They want 280 points, which consists of BBC including Biology. I am predicted AAA in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, so I think I can make their offer if I get no others.
I also received an offer from Swansea today for ABB, which is nice. Although these two are the bottom two, it’s nice to know that at least one place wants me, and if I get no other offers, I have a confirmed first and insurance in Swansea and Essex. Although I would rather go to Essex as they do more on Genetics, I can’t put that before Swansea as Swansea’s grades are higher, so I essentially have no insurance (although it’s very unlikely that I won’t manage BBC *touch wood*).
FINGERS CROSSED FOR PLYMOUTH!!
