Sigh of Relief.. Sort of!

I phoned up Southampton University on Thursday after talking to Mum about what I was thinking, and the guy at Ocean Sciences was really helpful. He said he’d send my application over to Biological Sciences for Zoology, and I rang up today and they’ve received it, so now I’m just playing the waiting game again.

I’m quite happy right now, as that went well. Also, I got my iPhone 4! It’s amazing, so much better than my Nokia E71 that Toby leant me. I’m getting used to Apps and stuff, and have completed quite a few levels of Angry Birds and Slice It – two Apps that I recommend for people with childish gaming minds! Toby is also swapping me his nice red laptop. It has a smaller screen than the one I have now, but it’s more portable for school and stuff, and he’s got an old monitor he wants to get rid of too so I’ll have that to compensate the screen when I play WoW.

We had a bit of a spat at the weekend though, which wasn’t nice. We were both stressed about family stuff and I was worried about our holiday (more info soon, I am SO excited now!) as it’s going to be expensive, and we were wondering if we’d even be together still when we book the holiday. But we got over it by being the silly couple that we are and were in a great mood until things went badly at his house. We had to leave before dinner, which made me feel quite bad for his family but worse for him as I could see how sad he was about family stuff (that I shouldn’t really blab to the whole internet). I think going to my house for tacos and fajitas (in taco shells instead of tortillas because the tortillas we had were rock hard!) made up for stuff a bit, as did my parents agreeing to our holiday!

We’ve been deciding for a while, as I didn’t want to rush and book the first place we thought was nice because it was quite expensive. But we’ve booked the Kalithea Horizon Royal hotel in Rhodes which looks amazing, and I’m so looking forward to our first proper holiday away from family!
