Pretending I have a Mac!

I have had a few issues with the USB inputs on my laptop lately. Mainly, they don’t work. Windows 7 kept coming up with a message saying the USB device cannot be recognised, and we decided this was because they had no power, or the drivers weren’t working. So basically, we had to reinstall Windows but downgrade to Vista.

Now I was one that liked all the looks that Windows 7 had, so downgrading wasn’t my favourite thing to do. That is until I found this.  It’s a system that turns your Windows Vista or 7 PC look like it’s running Mac. It contains the dock, makes the start bar look like the Mac toolbar, and everything look like you are a Mac user, but still using the Windows interface that we know and love (HA. Oh, sorry, I meant still using the cheaper Windows hardware!).

This is a cheaper alternative (for now) than a Mac computer, and is a lot easier than trying to find a laptop and desktop that run Hackintosh, like my Hackbook.

In future, I do hope I’ll be able to afford an iMac, but I think for now I just have to pretend that my Windows laptop is a Mac, which is a whole lot easier now!

  1. You could install Ubuntu for free and then do this:

Although I haven’t used my Ubuntu laptop for a while, because with Cassie’s Macbook Pro and the iPad, plus phones, we’re not short on devices…

  2. I could do, I do like Ubuntu, but then I wouldn’t be able to play WoW.. They don’t do a Linux version :(
