I’m half way through the first week of Semester two, and I’m looking forward to the rest of it so much more than I was at the start of Semester one. I’m studying Ecology, Marine Ecology, Cell Biology & Genetics and Field Biology (which is the free field course to Malaga in Easter). The first lectures of both Ecology modules have been really interesting, cell biology not so much, but it’ll be okay, and I’m really looking forward to the field course. All previous students say the first year field course is the most memorable part of the whole 3 year course! Read More...

I have now been at University for two months, as of last Thursday. I have changed so much as a person in that time; I’ve met so many new people here and had a lot of new experiences. I’m loving every second of it, except of course the times when upstairs and downstairs are both having parties and I’m trying to sleep in the early hours of the morning before a 9am lecture! I needed BBB, and I got a B in Maths, A in Chemistry and A* in Biology. The last grade is my favourite. So I’m going to University in a month; I’m slightly nervous but very excited, so I’m sure I’ll be venting frustrations and awesomeness at some point along the way… Read More...
I phoned up Southampton University on Thursday after talking to Mum about what I was thinking, and the guy at Ocean Sciences was really helpful. He said he’d send my application over to Biological Sciences for Zoology, and I rang up today and they’ve received it, so now I’m just playing the waiting game again. Read More...
Christmas went with a nice bang. I spent Christmas Eve firstly at Toby’s, where I got a really nice hoodie from his family, some smellies from Sarah and a GORGEOUS Pandora bracelet from Toby! Read More...
Well, after a few problems at school, my UCAS application was sent off. I sent it off from my end to my tutor two weeks ago on Monday. She then came to be the next Friday, asking me to help her write my reference. This, I thought had been done back in half term, but obviously not. I wrote a few points for her to put in and she eventually sent it the next Tuesday. Read More...
